Family Services
Mini O'Beirne Crisis Nursery's Family Services Program provides a range of vital education and support programs for parents to help them improve the quality of their lives, strengthen families, and prevent child abuse and neglect. The core programs in our Family Services component are home visiting programs, provided in-person and remotely. All families served at Mini O'Beirne Crisis Nursery are strongly encouraged to participate in Family Services Programs.

Basic Needs Pantry
In addition to our other services, Mini O'Beirne Crisis Nursery maintains a basic needs pantry which stocks infant formula, diapers, wipes, and other childcare supplies. Those interested in items from the basic needs pantry can learn more by calling 1-217-525-6800 or emailing info@MiniOBeirne.org.
ABOUT
It was Marinda "Mini" O'Beirne's love of children and her desire to combat child abuse that brought a crisis nursery to central Illinois. Mini was an administrative assistant to an Illinois State Representative when she heard of a crisis nursery in another city. She spent two years investigating, planning, and encouraging others to join her crusade against child abuse. Amidst all of her planning, she died of cancer on April 29, 1988. A steering committee carried out Mini's dream and named the Nursery in her honor.
The Mini O'Beirne Crisis Nursery opened May 15, 1989. In its first year, the Crisis Nursery staff of six cared for 400 children.

Mini O'Beirne Crisis Nursery is a non-profit social service agency. Because there is no charge for care, the Nursery depends on financial support from government, corporate and local grants, fundraising through special events, and contributions by businesses, community organizations, and individuals.
