CHILDREN'S ART AUCTION

Coming this October 17 to 21, 2022, Mini O’Beirne Crisis Nursery, in partnership with the Heart of Wes Barr Foundation, will host an online Children’s Art Auction. This event will raise funds to provide much-needed technology upgrades for the Nursery.

The fundraising event will be held online, with multiple options this fall for community members to create artwork including hosting paint nights at the Illinois Products Farmers Market during the month of September.  The Illinois Products Farmers Market is located at The Shed at the Illinois State Fairgrounds, with events on September 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29.

In addition, artists of all ages are encouraged to submit completed artwork directly to the Nursery.  Submissions will be accepted until September 30, 2022, at the Nursery, located at 1011 N. 7th Street, Springfield, IL 62702.

 

Submissions for artwork must either be in a frame or on a canvas or poster board suitable for hanging, as well as include the artist’s first name, age, and location on the back.  All art media is welcome, from finger paint to crayons to acrylic.

 

All artwork will be included in an online gallery open for bidding starting October 17, and bidding will close on October 21, 2022.  A thank you event will be held at Enos Park on October 22 for winning bids to pick up their artwork.
