How old does my child have to be?

The nursery cares for infants and children from birth until their seventh birthday.

What are some of the reasons parents bring their children to the nursery?

Some of the most common reasons are:

  • parental stress

  • medical emergencies

  • homelessness

  • domestic violence

  • mental health or substance abuse appointments

How long can my child stay?

We never close so children can stay at the Nursery for a few hours or a few days, depending on your situation.

If I need to bring my child to the nursery, what do I need to do?

Just call us at 217-525-6800. We will get basic information from you over the phone and set up a time for you to bring in your child. When you arrive at the nursery, staff will meet with you and complete the needed paperwork.

Do I need to bring any of my child's things?

Not usually. Staff will discuss this with you before you bring in your child.

What can I expect when I bring my child to the nursery?

You can expect to be treated with respect. Your child will be lovingly cared for by well-trained and nurturing staff in a homelike environment.
